چکیده
Purpose: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex multifactorial endocrine metabolic disorder of reproductive-aged women characterized by hyperandrogenism, hirsutism, anovulation, hyperinsulinemia and polycystic ovaries. The main aim this study was to investigate the association eNOS STAT6 gene Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) with susceptibility PCOS in South Indian Women. Research question: What status SNPs PCOS? Methods: present genetic involves clinically confirmed patients (n = 105) non-PCOS controls 110) Dravidian linguistic group. Genotyping +894G/T (Glu298Asp) SNP 2964G/A performed Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) sequencing analysis. Results: There were statistically significant differences genotype allele frequencies eNOS+894G/T (p 0.1110) STAT62964G/A (0.0019) between cases controls, according codominant, dominant recessive models. Conclusion: In conclusion, polymorphisms may constitute an inheritable risk factor for women.

P-191: Association of STK11 Gene Polymorphisms with Methformin Treatment in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Background: Metformin is an insulin sensitizing drug, which is co-administered with Clominophene citrate or gonadotropins in most cases of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), to improve ovulation. STK11 gene is necessary for action of metformin. Therefore the study of STK11 polymorphisms is important as pharmacogenetics aspects of metformin. The aim of our study was to investigate polymorphism of...

15 صفحه اولAssociation of vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms with polycystic ovary syndrome among Indian women
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES The Vitamin-D receptor (VDR) regulates vitamin D levels and calcium metabolism in the body and these are known to be associated with endocrine dysfunctions, insulin resistance and type-2 diabetes in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Studies on VDR polymorphisms among PCOS women are sparse. We undertook this study to investigate the association pattern of VDR polymorphi...
متن کاملP-91: Androgen Associated Gene Polymorphism(s) in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome from South Indian Population
Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous endocrine disorder affecting 4-12% of reproductive women worldwide; characterized by chronic anovulation, clinical and/or biochemical hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovaries on ultrasound scan. Ovarian androgen overproduction is the key pathophysiologic feature of PCOS. A number of genes encoding major enzymes of the androgen meta...

Background: Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF-α) gene, as an inflammatory factor, plays an important role in reproductive physiology, especially in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between the -1031 T/C polymorphism of TNF-α gene and biochemical factors in women with PCOS. Methods: In this case-control study, participants w...
